This Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche dress screams elegance and 1930s slinky glamour. Clearly inspired by the bias cut gowns of 30s decadence which would go on to inspire the likes of Galliano during the 90s as well.  This dress unique is the utilization of a modern version of one shoulder with a mini length paired with the classic ruching and flattering cuts of yesteryear. The daring slit cut on the leg is a classic YSL move- sexy while classy! This dress can be paired with a martini for maximum effect- it is in all realms a cocktail dress. Both flattering gatherings of fabric (the ruched shoulder and hip) are collected by a black rhinestone button. These accents are definitely a dark goddess enhancer! Side zipper with hook clasp. Excellent vintage condition, no apparent flaws with very minor snags on fabric (not noticeable). Estimated US size 4/6. Missing care tag, feels like acetate blend, looks like silk.
